The Sperry Family Farm LLC reserves the right to retain any kid born here at any time. The Sperry Family Farm LLC reserves the right to refuse any sale to anyone at any time for any reason. We take our goats futures seriously and like to meet prospective families whenever possible and welcome farm visits. Goats are herd animals and are happier and healthier when they live with other goats. We will NOT sell individual goats unless the buyer already owns goats. It's ok if you do not already own goats, no worries, that means you just have to buy 2 or more goats! There will be NO exceptions made to this rule as we do not compromise the future health and well-being of our goats for anyone at any time for any reason.
Interested? This is what I need you to do!
Please call or email us with interest in our goats or to place a reservation by using the contact us tab at the top of the page. Please make sure to include accurate contact info for yourself. If you are new to goat ownership, please let us know a little bit about yourself and why you are considering owning goats. And if you have an established herd, please let us know if you have a website or social media page so that I can check it out!
- Why are you buying goats? Are they pets? Do you plan to breed them? This helps us help you!
- Do you have a year round reliable source for hay? Goats need hay all year, especially in winter to help keep them warm.
- Do you have a large animal veterinarian available? Do they treat goats?
- Goats need protection from weather in every season. Do you have a shelter with 4 walls and a door?
- Do you have strong, reliable fencing?
- Do you live in an area where goats may not be allowed by local zoning laws?
What you can expect from me!
- Goat kids will be disbudded, vaccinated for CD&T and will receive coccidia prevention prior to leaving our farm, a health record will accompany each animal at time of pick up. All registered goats will also be tattooed.
- An ADGA registration application will be included with the sale of all breeding stock. AGS application may be available on certain pairings, not all herd members are AGS registered at this time, please let me know if you are interested in AGS.
- We dam raise here but we usually have a small handful of bottle babies available every year. We do our best to handle all kids on a daily basis to make them as friendly as possible.
- Wethers being sold to pet homes will be banded prior to leaving the farm and can leave at 10 weeks of age. We band with Lidobands to help ensure the comfort of our goats.
- Intact males will be ready to leave at 8 weeks of age due to their ability to breed at such a young age.
- Doelings will remain with mom until they are at least 10 weeks of age to encourage growth and a solid foundation. I am willing to allow them to stay to 12 weeks if requested.
- We proudly stand behind every goat here and ALL goats will be healthy and free from any observable genetic defect at time of sale. The health of the animal is not guaranteed once it has left the farm, that is your responsibility now.
- Mentorship. I am happy to answer questions and share personal experiences throughout your goat journey. However, I am not available at all times and not a replacement for medical care and advice. Please seek professional medical attention in emergencies to provide the best care and outcome for your goats.
Putting down a deposit
